I have been testing online earning sites for over 6 years while being based in the UK, and now I use my knowledge and experience from these sites to help you know what is worth it if you are just starting to earn with a special focus for other UK users.
I review sites comprehensively to determine the main theme of the site, availability, how much you can earn from the site and whether it is worth your time at all. Frequently asked questions
How much can you earn from surveys?
It varies. Firstly, anyone who is claiming that you can earn a full time salary from surveys or GPT sites are lying. They should be treated as side or pocket income, high numbers will only come with time. If you use the best sites, a realistic target is £40-120 a month.
What site should I start with?
Prolific, for sure, if you can get in. This is widely considered as the best survey site, due to it's much higher average pay than most other sites, as well as a matching system which results in very rare screenouts. It has a minimum cashout of £6 from PayPal. I've earned the most from it. The catch is that it is competitive to get into due to a waitlist. I've explained all of this in greater detail on my review of Prolific.
While you wait to get accepted, Qmee is the easiest to start with because there is no minimum payout. It also has a mobile app so you can earn on the go.
Which site pays out fastest?
Qmee. That's because as I said, it has virtually no minimum payout, you can cashout from £0.01. Also, withdrawals are instant to PayPal.
Do I need PayPal?
Most of the sites here require PayPal. However, there are some here that have other withdrawal methods as an option, such as Crypto or gift cards.
Generally, PayPal is a convenient option as you can receive money easily.
Why do I keep getting screened out from surveys?
Surveys are looking for different types of people all the time. When you are screened out, it likely means you don't match what the survey is looking for. Sites will learn from your profile and over time, will better match you to surveys.
Screenouts are a normal part of survey taking and should be expected on most sites. However, there are sites which rarely screen out, such as Prolific or CloudResearch Connect which is part of the reason they are at the top of my list. You can see if those interest you from the reviews.
Are these sites actually worth your time?
For some people yes, others no. If you have free time that you would otherwise be spending scrolling, it can be a good use of your time. Over time, some surveys in the background does add up. However, if you are a busy professional with little time in your day, these sites may not be for you. If you are looking to replace an income, none of these will do that for you and you should disregard anyone who promises it.
